The project highlights and enhances the rich cultural and environmental heritage of the Royal Palace of Portici through fascinating guided thematic itineraries.

Itinerary A. Historical-Artistic

This itinerary will be dedicated to the discovery of the architectural and historical-artistic styles of the Royal Palace and the City of Portici. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit areas that are generally not accessible to the public. The itinerary includes a visit to the exedra (sea-facing facade of the Royal Palace), the royal staircase, the guard room, the frescoed antechambers, the Chinese room, the historical library and the gardens of the lower park. The visit will be guided by a historical-artistic expert, who has previously worked as a museum operator at the facility.

Route B. Botanical

This route will focus on the environmental theme, directing attention to a segment of users interested in the historicity of the Botanical Garden of Portici and the botanical specificities it preserves. The walk will delve into natural resources, the cyclicity of the plant world, botany and ecology. Participants will be able to visit the Botanical Garden, with particular attention to the historical-artistic quadrant, fern grove, palm grove, historic greenhouses and succulent greenhouses, in addition to the Gussone Park. The visit will be guided by an expert botanist, museum operator at the facility.
